We did it!!! We adopted Nena tonight.....

Nena came from the streets of Puerto Rico where she was found after being hit by a car and had gotten a fractured hip and a scar on her forehead. She came to Massachusetts 2 days ago and was placed in an Animal Shelter. After weeks of just looking for a dog, nothing had appealed to me like she did. Tonight I came home from work and seen her posting online and was reading about her... her face made me melt. As soon as the woman brought her in the room my eyes filled up with tears. Something told me inside to keep her and love her. She is such a sweetie. Great temperament, warm, friendly and so far haven't heard her bark. The people told me at the shelter that she rarely does bark, she is very independent and loves chicken... And guess what? She had a purple collar on her...who loves purple more than me? It was a sign. She is so cute. We came home about 10 p.m. and since then she has just been laying next to Jalina watching Disney Channel.. Hey! now it's Nena's turn to watch High School Musical over and over again, lol lol lol... I got alot info and great feedback on Nena from the woman that found her in P.R. and kept her until she was sent here. I have all her records and pictures and even her X-Rays from the accident. I feel so great inside that we adopted a dog in need of some TLC and lots of love. Nena which is pronounced (Nay-Na) is our Puerto Rican princess who will be given much love and care and be so happy here. More posts to come....

The New Tattoo

Not a very clear pic, but it is hard to take a pic of your own foot, lol lol by yourself. So yesterday I got a new tattoo. I have been wanting Jalina's name but not sure where. So I decided on the foot. It is on my left foot on the side. Different spot and unique. I love it. Exactly what I wanted. Jalina was there when I got it done and held my hand and told me that everything would be ok. She is too cute. She was very happy that mama got her name and then she tells the guy (that did the tattoo) that when he is done to put a smiley face next to it. We all were laughing. Hey! she tried. kids! gutta love them.

The Mango

So here is the story: tonight I was in the kitchen and Jalina asked me if she could have a mango for snack. I told her "the mango is not ripe yet, couple more days" so then she walks away and goes back into the living room. I walk into the living room a few minutes later and look over and she has the mango sitting next to her on the couch. I just kept walking and just gave her and shook my head. So then I am on the computer and she comes over to me and says "Mama! look! since I can't eat it...I colored a picture of a mango".. What a good job she did! She is so cute. She then tells me "I even drew the little brown spots. She makes me laugh.

Before you came into my world……..

I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.


I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

I don't complain when someone wants to take the shots...i luv taking pics and being in them.. Hey some people don't care to be in a pic, but when I see the camera I am luvin every second...that's why I am me! People that know me this post won't even phase them..

Titi's House (Vacation Day 4)

Jalina and Max playing baseball on a HOT summer day. You would think they would just want to swim, but not our kids.. me and kristin were sweating our coolito's off in the heat watching them. We wanted to swim more than them :)

It was a beauts day at Titi's house. Even though there was the crying and fighting at times at the end of the day they all give luv. They don't see it now, but they are all so lucky to have one another. When they are apart they want each other, but then when they are together sometimes it's like war. It's ok tho because they work it through and give luv and have some snacks and juice and call it a day. we luv u all. Best friends we are....(sing it up)..Friends to the end.

No doubt, that is my beauty friend...You guessed it. Someone has been hiding this hat in her car until the right moment. When I saw her go into her car and come out with this on I couldn't stop laughing. Not that she looked bad in it but she caught me off guard and only my friend would buy this beauty at Walmart and be so proud and wear it on a special occasion. You gutta luv her. No matter what she rocks she always looks good. She tells me "I have to protect my face from the wrinkles" so then she just sat there and I couldn't stop staring at her in the hat. She makes me laugh. She looked so cute in her hat. I can't even deal that she kept it in the car until she felt it was a special moment to bust it out. Keep rockin it beau...no one rocks it like you. To be honest, now that I look at the pic it reminds me of what would be on the cover of STAR magazine... Guess who is under that hat hiding from the paparazzi....i luv

SUMMER FUN AT NAHANT BEACH

SATURDAY JULY 12TH:

Jalina loves the beach. I am not a big fan of the sun giving me wrinkles. I went and sat under an umbrella. 5 hours later and still she was having a blast. I luv the sound of the waves...so relaxing. We met Shannon, Sarah and Madison there. I was a nice day. Lots of laughs and tons of snacks...can you get better than that? It's ok that our PB&J had some sand in it...It wouldn't be the same unless you crunched on some sand. :)
